Celebrating a Powerful Season in Horry County FCA

This fall has been an incredible season of ministry and momentum for Horry County FCA, and we are grateful for all God is doing in and through our schools and community.

We currently have multi-sport huddles meeting in all Horry County high schools and middle schools, as well as several charter schools. Our Area Representatives, John Rickenbacker and Erin Grall, faithfully pour into these huddles each week, serving students, coaches, and leaders as God has called them. We are especially encouraged to see record attendance at our middle school huddles, as students continue to show a growing hunger for community and faith.

This fall also included four powerful Fields of Faith events hosted at Loris High School, St. James High School, North Myrtle Beach High School, and Aynor High School. God moved mightily at each location, and we were blessed to witness many students come to Jesus through the bold testimonies and leadership of their peers.

In addition, Horry County FCA had the privilege of hosting the Carolinas FCA Middle School Retreat at Garden City Chapel and Retreat. A total of 180 middle school students gathered for a weekend full of fun, fellowship, and hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ. During the retreat, God called more than 20 students to either begin a relationship with Him or renew their walk with Christ.

Our outreach continues beyond traditional huddles as well. Rayburn Poston with Coastal FCA Fishing has led numerous fishing huddles at local church ponds and piers, teaching the sport of fishing while sharing the love and truth of Jesus.

We are thankful for the many community members and youth pastors across the county who volunteer their time to help FCA Engage, Equip, and Empower the next generation.

In October, Casey Clark organized and promoted an FCA Youth Rally. With the help of local youth pastors, nearly 200 students involved in student ministries gathered to worship and hear the Gospel. Additionally, FCA Volunteer Coach Mike D organized two Christmas caroling events with St. James High School and Myrtle Beach High School. Alongside huddle leaders and student-athletes, they visited senior living centers to share the love of Christ through song—truly special moments for everyone involved.

Looking ahead, Horry County FCA will host a county-wide worship night on February 1st at Palmetto Pointe Church. All are welcome, and we are praying that God fills more than 2,000 seats. We are also partnering with Founders Group International for their annual Gridiron Golf Tournament in February. More information regarding sponsorship opportunities will be shared soon. Additionally, we are currently in the planning stages for our Spring Banquet, and details will be sent once finalized.

To stay up to date on all upcoming events and celebrations, please check and follow our Horry County FCA Facebook page, where we post regularly.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support as God continues to move throughout Horry County.
